Another short session of less than 500 total hands on March 22nd sees Tom Dwan move into positive territory once again as the total hands played reaches a somewhat slow 5928, Tom Dwan came up on the day to reach +$15,238 with Antonius being down $16.495.50 (as a side note the amount of rake Full Tilt are taking is becoming glaringly obvious here... they might want to have a think about this since it will be $12k ish after the 50,000 hands which could be embarassingly negative publicity!).Message boards around the world which we are monitoring the challenge are also starting to point out that the swings have been relatively small so far - that true variance has yet to rear its head. When you consider that pots of $50k are common and $100k+ pots not that rare then it is surprising that one competitor has not been 3 or 4 hundred grand up at this stage.
Another interesting factor is that Dwan's 'total hands won' is starting to creep ahead with 3208 to Patrik Antonius' 2699... this clearly demonstrates Dwans extra aggressive style - while the fact that the challenge itself is so finely balanced shows that Antonius' tighter aggressive style (only relatively speaking of course!) is just as successful.
