693 Hand Durrrr Challenge Session With Surprisingly Low Variance

Almost 700 hands last night as the Durrrr Challenge limps forward once again. As is becoming a habit for our blog posts we are reporting a victory for Patrik Antonius over the session - all be it a small one with the Finnish Poker pro ending up just short of $33k (or to put it into context if this were a 50c / $1 blinds game an $82 gain - less than 1 buy-in).

So, the totals as of May 21st

Durrrr - Total Amount Lost ($427,747.00)
Antonius - Total Won +$424,631.00
Total Hands Played: 14,249

While we remain in the early stages of the game and much can happen, it really is starting to feel like the momentum of this challenge is swinging to Antonius - as is the support of many of the fans. Too early to predict the outcome at the moment, but as we sail slowly towards 20k hands it will soon be time to get those calculators working and see how many BB / 100 Dwan really needed to be ahead to make the 3/1 bet a +ev proposition for him.

Here is the breakdown from the latest session:

Table 1) Dwan -$42,704.50 PA +$42,668.50 176 hands
Table 2) Dwan -$8,057.00 PA +$8,019.00 166 hands
Table 3) Dwan -$2,579.50 PA +$2,544.00 156 hands
Table 4) Dwan +$24,465.50 PA -$24,503.00 175 hands
Table 5) Dwan -$4,201.00 PA +$4,198.50 20 hands

120 minutes 693 hands

Dwan -$33,076.50 PA +$32,927.00
